Regulator rectifier

Hello, I have an issue, more than one, but the major one at the moment is a blown reg/ rec on my 3cl. It's the original unit and without it, I can't ride to 'not the Barry' .
Does any member in the Newcastle/ Sydney area have a spare or an alternative option?

Your help would very much appreciated.

Cheers

If you have an original 3CL with CDI ignition (single unit under the tank) then original fitment would be a rectifier only (screwed underneath at bottom of battery box).  The move to BTZ ignition saw a change to a regulator/rectifier more visible under the seat next to the fusebox.  No matter  - both can be replaced by pretty much any reg/rect for a permanent magnet alternator equipped bike.  Shindengen - SH530 gets a lot of mentions - you'll only use two of the three alternator wires (usually yellow) with output going to battery+ and earth.  Cam put a post up which lists a few alternatives

Thanks for the information, but if I don't get my hands on a regulator, I cant take the #cl to The Barry.
Crap timing for it to go, I know, but I need one this week.

I have one you can "borrow" to get you out of trouble but only problem is its in Sydney and am fairly tied up with logistic's for the event
So if you can figure out how to get it then you can have loan for the "not the Barry "
What is wrong with yours as its usually a wiring issue, corroded terminal or something like that.
