Hello again.

Need help and advice to my Laverda 750 SF 1972 model. Have decided to remove Steering damper knob. What do I need the parts and what must I do to remove it from the steering head. Is it just to remove complete Steering vapors knob and mount this "Nut fork yoke 35mm Ceriani forks SF / SFC without hole" which Laverda Paradis seller. Do I need to do something about the end of the steering shaft? There are "Steering stop limit under steering head" which is locked to the frame. Or do I have than other steering head/ shaft
Are unsure and want to do this properly. Does anyone have pictures of this.

From vague memory, just unscrew knob counterclockwise until it and its shaft come out. The shaft screws into a plate at the bottom of the steering column which will fall out.
Not sure what you're on about for the rest.

I know what you mean. The plate at the bottom is nothing to do with the steering damper - it's the steering limit lock (stops your bars and thumbs hitting the tank).Leave it as is.
The part you are talking about from Paradies is the same as the one you already have, but has no hole where the shaft went through on tours - you could also glue a small sidecover badge onto it and save the effort and expense of a new top nut. Or just put a small bung into the hole and forget about it. Or leave it as a hole!

I agree - you certainly don't need a steering damper on an SF properly set up - NEVER had a wobble from in in 40 years.

The steering stop plate should be mounted solidly to the frame instead of having a thick rubber cushion under it.

Rusty nuts, garden hose and perished/worn plastic/rubbers all over the place... experience tells me the whole bike would benefit from a thorough looking into. ::)

Hey,

I was probably bad to explain to me, but you found out what I was trying to tell. Thanks :D :D

It's true that I want to remove the rod as an adjusting steering damper. It was completely loose and was not functioning. Then I let it be as it is today, but removes rubber. Thanks for the tip

I bought Laverdaen in summer and keep on getting paint frame and fuel tank.

Thanks for the help so long and comes with more questions as moving forward.

Regards
Arne

Here the image of the top fork yoke and I let it be as it is today. Some polishing and varnish will do good.
