RGS & EBC Discs - Speedo Modification

Gents,

I installed EBC MD609 discs on my stock RGS wheel today, and noted the speedo drive cable pretty much touches the edge of the disc carrier, as the carrier's dish is not as wide as the stock Brembo one-piece discs. Hm. I searched here a bit, and came across Keith Nairn's 2013 observation to this exact effect, and that a bit of modding is required. I ended up tightening the speedo cable to the speedo drive, noting where the cable nut is too close, and then carefully ground the nut down in that spot until a whole .85mm of clearance. Job done - I think!

Yes, identical.

This is my solution to the problem. Made a new spigot to take a M10x1 cable nut (pretty much a standard Jap cable). I can't for the life of me remember what cable I bought but it was only about ?5 to buy off ebay.
