rgs oil temp sensor

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get an oil temperature sensor for my RGS?

The usual suspects don't have them. I assume it is one from a car - any ideas which one?

                                        Thanks

Which usual suspects?
Where are you?
Tried Wolfgang? Wagner? They usually have rare stuff.

as the dashboard is from - I think - an Autobianchi or Fiat, i would look there... I don't think they used a different sensor and adjusted the gauche, they will have used the same one... so - if someone can say for sure from which car the dashboard is, that's the car to look for the sensor I would say, too....

I assume though that the A112 had a separate gauche for the oil-temperature and in the main dashboard, it was the water-temperature... So - it might be (!!) that the sensor you are looking for is actually the WATER temperature sensor, not the oil-temperature sensor... Check that, too, please, and compare it with the existing one, please.

i couldn't find a better picture than the one below, but i think the gauges in the center have the oil-sign on it

You're mixing your languages Lothar. The word you're looking for is "gauge".
I'm sure you're aware that "gauche" is the French word for "left" (links in deutsch), although it's been adopted into English to mean inelegant or socially unacceptable.

I suppose it would be possible to have a gauche gauge if it's clumsy and doesn't work properly  :D

like the RGS fuel "gauge"...... guestimator
What gauge; I took my fuel gauge sensor out and blanked off the hole; gives me an extra 300 metres range 8).

i actually find with some tweaking that they work quite well shame cant say the same for the Vauglia Tacho when it is being fed with a modern digital signal

I found my tacho worked almost perfectly once I changed the O/E coils for some TEK ones off a VFR, and that's without the Witt filter thingy.

yeh good call Reggie,  funny thing that 2 of them work just dandy but the damn RGS which runs direct from the ignitech tacho signal doesnt. The RGS uses nology coils, Dyna's on the Corsa and the Executive.
I will run the signal from the coil and see if any difference

My RGS fuel guage is actually spot on!  Did require a bit of tweaking though when I replaced the last one that had rusted solid after a winter lay-up!.

The tach now also functions perfectly off the lo-resistance PVL coils, at least as far as the actual movement of the needle is concerned.  Can't say much about the accuracy, haven't checked yet (doesn't bother me enough, it's not a fuckin' racer!).
