Hello forum, I am wondering if anyone knows where I could buy 2 of those rubber bump stops which go under the seat pan. there plug in style about 25mm in diameter and 13/14mm high for a 9mm hole, I had a look at a car rubber supplier here in Australia, and not much comes close.

Just a thought ... Has anyone tried turning rubber on the lathe? If there's a way of doing it, it would be handy to make difficult to find things like bump stops etc. I've heard it's possible if you freeze it, but my freezer isn't cold enough.

Not too difficult.  Tool needs a keen edge with sharp cutting angle, and high speed.  Often the biggest problem is getting the stuff to stay in the chuck. :D

Simple cylindrical bump stops are easy to part off from a bar.  The tang that is pulled through sheet metal won't work if diameter is less than 10-15mm.

Or we can harass David H as he has my SF3 seat... hmm
