Seat Rubbers

On my 81 Jota with the earlier double seat fitted I have 2 round bungs at the front, 2 round bungs in the middle.
At the back was about 3 bits of 2mm thick rubber sheet cut and glued to the seat base on each side to sit on the frame.
Unbeknown to me these fell off and the seat cover has worn through by rubbing on the tail piece.
Two questions, What sort of rubber should have been fitted there and is it available and whats the best way to repair the seat cover?

If they're the rectangular ones with 2 bosses on them that fits into a hole on the seat base I may be able to help

Yes, rectangular but my seat base has no holes.
I guess that's why bits of rubber were glued on.
How thick are the standard ones?

These are off my original 1200 seat base. They're 8mm thick and measure 58mm X 28mm. They feel pretty hard, whether from age or not can't say.
Had planned to use them on the carbon seat base I made for the Motodd, used something else instead.

I did some measuring, I need 10mm thick rubber.
I will find something and glue on, not ideal but what can you do.

not ideal ? it will be fine if ya use some good shit to stick them on
