Series 2 horn position

In light of both my horns giving up the ghost after 1000ks and 12 toot toots,
are they getting fried by the position they are in,or are repo voxbells simply rubbish ?

After the brand new Voxbells swiftly failed on my bike I left them in place but fitted a pair of Fiamm type horns under the fairing.
Best move I made.

Did the same with the CEV horn on my Ducrappi Scrambler, Grant.  Left the defunct one in place for appearances, but wired in a much louder $5 Chinese one.  Barp, barp! 

(Domi-Racer (as was ...) wanted c.$60 for a replacement - and they were cheap rubbish when new  :).

Yep same thing, new pair of voxbells stuffed within a couple of months. Ended up bastardising a pair from a , sorry yam, fitted the covers and a bit of paint, new grub screws an nylocs, almost look the same, don't look to close, but importantly still working for over a year and more than 12 toots.
