Just thought I'd take a picture of a replacement air filter I've re-set for my '71 SF 750
It's a FRAM CA2646, I made a frame up and popped it in the oven for a bit.
The lip is just enough to tuck in around the lip of the plates either side of the filter.
Overall it's probably about 1 cm shallower.
There were no sleeves on the studs on my bike so I machined some sleeves up just need to cut them to the right length now.
Problem is the air-filter partially obscures the holes so I need to trim a little notch out of the rubber.
Next job is to weld up the fractures in the filter back plate and grind smooth.
