SF0 shock length

Hi

Just a quickie.  Can someone confirm the correct shock length for a 750.  I have 360mm and the center stand is not happy.  There's a 360 and a 345 set on fleabay both claiming to be for a 750.

352mm for 750, 362mm for triples.

A 750 with the longer shocks should roll onto the centre stand easily, rear wheel will usually not be completely free though.

Yes that's what's happening with my center stand pretty much.  The rear wheel is barely off the ground and you have to be careful on uneven ground.  I assume it's done to quicken the steering or something?

In theory at least, seriously doubt you'd feel much difference.  Main benefit might be raising the bike a smidgeon, gaining a tiny bit more cornering clearance.

Have a rebuilt set of genuine Cerianis which are around 340mm which are too short for my 3CL...
 
And they are also too short for a 750.  Bugger isn't easy to put on the centre stand with the correct shocks, let alone too short ones.  Hernia guaranteed!

If I recall the rear Ceriani shock length on a stock 71 to 73 SF was approx 13 3/4"

Verily long compared by today shock lengths.

Will get back after I measure my stock 71 SF Ceriani rear shocks.
I will also include the swing arm pivot to rear Axel measurement.

With reference to the triples.....Doesnt where the top mount is have a significant bearing on this though......

No, not for the factory, they used the same length throughout all triple models and versions.  SFC1000 was the first to get even longer shocks at 370mm.
