I am looking for the the upper and two lower rubber brake hoses for a SF2, are these generic and if so can anyone point me in the direction where I might get them, failing that can anyone give me the lengths of the hoses so that I can get some braided ones made up, bike is dismantled so I can't do it myself.

I am aware that you can do away with the bottom metal pipes and run lines straight from the splitter to the callipers but I would like to keep it looking original.

Thanks
Joe

For the 2 lower hoses I used the rear hose for Volvo 440/460/480. This is 320mm overall length, which I think is very slightly longer than original. The Quinton Hazell part No is BFH 4613. For the M/C hose, I got a braided one made up, with a black outer cover. Angus

Hi Angus when you get a chance could you please measure the total length of the top hose (m/c hose) including fittings and let me know.

No hurry

Joe

Joe,
Top hose(M/C) measures 300mm from centre of banjo to centre of banjo, giving an overall length including fittings of just over 310mm. The banjos (10mm)have a slight offset (I used 20 degree offset). I got the component parts from Venhill. Hope this helps. Angus

The original item had a banjo on one end and a straight connection on the other.

Hi, Marnix.
I sent Joe my old brake lines as samples. I found what
Angus said, 2 banjos, straight one on the splitter, angled
one on the mc. This corresponds with the SF2 parts book.
Could the one in your picture belong to a 1200?

I know it sounds self explanatory but could someone enlighten me on the difference between the high and low bars, how do I tell which ones I have ?

High bar. Here on SF1, but same was fitted to the SF2, mostly US market.
