The photo colours could have been retouched, so I wouldn't go by that photo alone.
The colour in Simon's photo could be closer to the real colour and gold was an original colour for the 750s I think.
It could be a gold, I have spoken to the owner of the gold bike and he used a Yamaha colour for that bike, which looks great, though the photo my have been touched up, it does look more orange. But thanks for the replies
Hi Jason, this bike seem to have the color you are looking for:
http://www.kapaza.be/nl/motos/laverda-750-sf-van-1971-94582485.htm
In the 70s Laverda offered 16 differnet colors for the 750 SF.
Ciao, Gert
Gert's photo looks very much like Honda Candy Gold, also from the early 70's. It's no secret that Laverda was strongly influenced by Honda at that time, so maybe they also "borrowed" some of their paint schemes. I have no idea what the RAL code is, or what Honda's specification was. But since there are likely to be a lot more Honda restorers around than Laverda, you might have a better chance of success tracking down the colour through Honda restoration contacts.
Incidentally, I had a CB750 K1 identical to the one in the above photo. It's the only vehicle of any kind that I ever bought new (in 1971). I chose a gold one because the colour was the most spectacularly eye-popping of the choices available
