Just refurbishing a rear disk brake won't make it any good because it's a crap design to start with. Lever ratios and/or hydraulic piston sizes are wrong. As it is, you need the Incredible Hulk standing on the pedal to make it work. It can be improved with a smaller M/C or (if using rearsets) re-jigged lever arms. You get more pedal travel, but the brake will work.
