sf3 manufacture date

[macavity99]

Anyone know how to find this date? Not registration date but manufacture date.

Current DVLC regs exempt historic vehicles "made before 1 January 1976" from road tax.

My sf was registered in May 1976 but was it manufactured before 1 Jan 1976 perhaps?

Try here, but likely date of registration as much as date of production.

Have just spoken to DVLA. Apparently manufacture date is on the log book. Der! Will see when I get home.

If manufactured before 1 Jan 1976, tax class can be amended to historic on the log book, verified at Post Office and sent to DVLA for update. It's a rolling exemption date so would have become exempt automatically on1 April 2017.
