SF3 rear shock recommendations?

I paid a suspension bloke $50 to swop the Icon springs from light to harder as buying a pro spring compressor was a hundred bucks and similar to get something knocked up by my local welder. Modifying a silicon gun is really clever.

50 effing bucks to change springs :o :o Must have taken him all of 10 mins.

As a young bloke, I used to regularly remove/fit shock springs by hand. I'd grab the shock by the top of the spring with one hand and press it down on the bench while removing the collet with the other hand. It was a case of more brawn than brains. I very much doubt I'd have the strength to do that now that I'm a decrepit old fart.

I have done a few long dirtbike twin shocks with 2 long screwdrivers through and across the springs and just pushing down and picking the clips out, no chance on these short road shocks with even the lighter springs and my hefty weight. Rob to top that off I had to drive across Sydney to Penrith to do that spring swop, beggars cannot be choosers. I was happy just to get it done while I waited.
