Yes i know its been done to death but i also know some of you love this technical type stuff that I don't understand. Just about to order my battery i cant recall the model number, i have it somewhere but to lazy to look for it at the moment. Has anyone here got one fitted to their Laverda. I know it needs something called cranking amps or something like that but I don't want to order mine and it be the wrong one. Bear in mind that jenny's engine is a 1200 full on fire breathing keith motor, fuck knows what the compression will be but quite a lot more than standard. Many thanks to any one who can be arsed to reply. Flip side.

we use SSB Powersport Lithium batteries and the one we use on big high compression engines is their 425 CCA unit

main thing we do with high comp engines is to delay the ignition firing for one or two engine revolutions to allow the starter motor to build momentum before the spark fires
easy to do with an Ignitech ignition, is just a software setting

Just bought one of these for mine all good.....I think its 390 CCA. seems like you pay a fortune for a little more.

Actually you pay it for a lot less, 1kg compared to 9kg for the Motobat. And the LiPo retains its charge much longer.
 
Seriously, I'm considering purchasing one of these things at what cost come next spring and would like reviews from our members along with the charging unit.

Don't care what size it is as long as it's not more the 6" tall when my ass starts to burn.
 
The one I've just ordered gives 390 cold cranking amps and weighs just over a pound and the same size as about five packets of fags, also costs ?236!!!!!
