SOLD RGS for Sale in NSW (Australia) $16,500

Reluctantly (I'm going to regret this*! but need the $18K for stamp duty for a property to live in) selling my RGS and Vin/Frame is matching to engine LAV1000RGS1876

NOW $16,500!

Located- Long Jetty, Central Coast - New South Wales

I don't think you will find one as good for under $20K!

2400ks** since a ground-up rebuild (crank by REDAX) and a huge amount of work and new parts thrown at it (not be me) but the Hand of God (Will Stein had a big part to play in it in get it sorted with new coils, ignition, stater clutch etc) spend many, many hours sorting it out. It was one reason why I bought the RGS.

It starts, runs, handles, brakes and feels like new!

I bought it from an Estate in February, with no intentions of ever selling, and have full documentation and did about 1100ks shaking down and running in the engine. Had Penrite running oil and just changed out to the 20/50.

Manuals/spare keys/docs etc

Anything someone would pick as an issue/s?

Longer front indicators
The gearshift and foot brake levers could do with a re-chrome.
The front fork legs should be black
Missing the seat bump
Really would sound a heap better with some Slater/Jota style mufflers!

Message me for any more details and I will load up as much detail as I can.

No rush! Ralph 0412071464

*I will never, ever find another LAVERDA in this condition for under $20K again!
** even the dash looks new!
*** the documents show the list of work commissioned but only some of the costings.
My guess if you started with a garage-find for say $8000 and threw everything at it like this the spend alone would be $20K alone

Hi.nice RGS you have, and a fair price, unfortunately it's a difficult time to sell Laverda, I'm helping my friend sell his RGS, which is in perfect condition, it's been for sale since August, unfortunately there hasn't been an inquiry yet

100% agree that the market is down the shitter. Not stressed as I will get by raising the cash.

if you can wait 10 years, you can get a Laverda for a very very low price, plus another problem is that most motorcycle museums won't buy it
