Best way to get broken bleed nipples out of my caliper,I ve heard of it and a member said this is a possible way,any UK contacts or other ideas please.

I got one spark eroded on the nipple on the sprocket cover of my previous Corsa. I had 'wisely' tried to use an Eazi-out in the remaining hole. The Eazi-out snapped flush first turn of the spanner.

I took a new nipple to the company that spark eroded it so they could judge how deep they could go before hitting the tapered base of the hole.
That was when I lived in Cumbria, but that company is no more, sorry.

From my experience with frozen Brake Bleeders is to heat ONLY the Bleeder Nipple (Not the Caliper) to cherry Red and let cool spraying Penetrating Oil or Rust Check Red then gently work it loose - Repeat if necessary - Do not under any circumstance break the bleeder off or you into a delicate drilling process which may or not work,

Forget about Easy-Outs as they expand the bleeder threads binding it tighter against the Caliper threads. If you attempted to use an easy out the damage has been done and you're just as well to take your chances drilling and re-tapping the caliper thread without damaging the seat and it leaks. As long as the seat has not been cracked you can repair it with a modified drill bit but it's takes experience. The seat is thin and there is not much room to work with.

After all this fails buy a new caliper.

If you looking at broken or ceased Spark Plug Threads look at these kits: Perma-Plug M14 X 1.25 Spark Plug Thread Repair Kit and 12 ASST Helicoil Sav-A-Thread 14mm Spark Plug Inserts. Once installed this Kit is better then the original Breganze Spark Plug threads into an Alu-Head. Personally I've never had problems with Breganze Spark Plug threads other then protect the threads of your (spare) spark plugs because if they're damaged in a loose tool Kit they will damage the threads in your Breganze Head; in other words, coat your Spare Spare Plugs with Never Seize and Tape them. I would not want a Spark Plug shoot throw my knee cap. CHECK the KIT OUT.

Wish I did not have to write so much and Edit Corrections - Sish! Some Guy's make it look so simple but then again some members answers leave a lot to say about the Breganze and I've a lot of Questions :o

I machine them out, only need to resort to spark eroding to remove bust drill bits and easy outs wrung off in the hole normaly by some ham fisted optimist. If it has broke off it is a straightforward operation to get the remains out, only when people have a go with an easy out, wobbly drill press, torx bit etc. does it start to get a bit more fiddly.

Why bother?  Just chuck it out (OK, put it in a safe place just in case supplies run out) and buy a new one.  Bevel Heaven have them for $138 each, so less than ?100 here maybe?
