Speedo fix

The ND on my 3CL has a dampening issue, I suspect because I got oil(?) into it. Otto Instrumants want $270au to do a basic service. Should I run with Otto, send it to someone else, or try the DIY? I have had the covers off previously, but I would need a technical bulletin as a guide. Any advice and/or links?
Regards, Greg

Hi Greg
Jason at CB Faces does most Laverda/ND instrument fixes. He is here on the forum somewhere.

Jason at Manly Auto Instruments (not CB Faces) is the go, fellow Laverda owner, will send you his email address

8) ........... I got his name right though.
Well at least ya got something right  :P :P

Greg Jason will sort you out no worries he's the best and  owns a Laverda to boot.................

I think the point was locality.
I use CB750 Faces with no issue, having sent around 15 to 20 pairs of instruments in the recent years.
There are also instrument restorers in the UK and Germany that I am aware of, as well as the one in Australia.

I can reccomend George Bouret/Tellerwerk in the Netherlands.  Very experienced with all manner of guages, quick turnaround and fair pricing, I'm very pleased with his service.

Jason's work is simply next to none...............he was showing me an ultra rare early Porsche cluster he was doing for a client last time I was there
The faces alone cost  well over 500 Euro each.. and they call us Laverda owners rivet counters...
