Speedometer drive

How many thrust washers are there on the driven gear of the speedometer drive, the one into which the cable inner fits? The parts book calls it the "speedometer shaft" 4012-6018-31. And if there is only one washer, which side does it go on? It's a 1971 750SF with first-generation Laverda brakes, if that matters. The old gear had a single thrust washer, installed on the back side, against the cable housing ("bush" 2160-4009-31). It appears that the action of driving the gear will push it toward that housing so it makes sense that there would be a thrust washer there. On the other hand, the parts book shows a single thrust washer at the nose of the driven gear (so, first thing down the hole) distinct from the speedometer shaft, but without a part number. On the other, other hand the figure appears to show a washer on the back side of the speedometer shaft as well. I'm inclined to think I should put a thrust washer on both ends of the speedometer shaft.

Thanks Ernesto, it is as I suspected. None of the other parts diagrams I've seen shows both washers clearly, but it makes sense that there should be one on each side of the gear, since it gets shoved both forward and backward under acceleration/deceleration.
