Spirals in drilled discs

Pretty easy to check; assuming you three discs, two should have the same pattern and the other should be the reverse. The matched pair go on the left (front and back) and the other on the right. Simples! ;)

Good point Terry, but doesn?t that mean all factory discs are drilled in the same pattern, hence the r/h front disc seemily running backward. A case of manufacturing budget restraints over form. I hadn?t thought of that simplistic view.

Looks as if they run backwards but the rotational force on the disc, when braking, is in the opposite direction to wheel rotation, otherwise you wouldn't slow down.
Or I could be completely wrong!

Forward, backward, as long as they are handed.  ;) Holes are bigger yes, stroke genius by a 20 year old Gijs van Dijk who had these discs on several of his endurance racers. Had to have them too, so Gijs and I spent the better part of a day killing a bunch of drill bits back in 1980.  :D

Fact is that the discs still work perfectly after 200.000 of use. They are worn beyond what Brembo recommends but don't want to part with them.
