Stone Guard

I used to have a mesh stone guard in the hole at the bottom of the flywheel cover. There is another hole at the back of the same cover. Are these guards available as a Laverda part or was mine a home made bit.
Mine disappeared a while back.It was made out of a bit of perforated steel

As standard they only had a mesh guard at the forward hole.
The rear hole was always unguarded.
Do you feel the need to guard your rear hole????

Easy to fabricate, not sure if Wolfgang or Wagner would carry it as a spare, but you never know.

Vince,
I bought a couple of dozen from Wolfgang, if you are in no hurry I can send you one when we get home.
Otherwise, Wolfgang has them in stock.

No hurry Red,No plans for a crossing of Sturts Stoney Desert in the near future.Marty commented in its absence when he sorted the Starter Clutch a couple of weeks back.Looks like a bit of snow arround in the major population centres over there at the moment.

Those little rock strainers must grow legs and go walkabout. Most of the Laverda's I've had anything to do with never had them, including mine. Never had a problem with rocks jumping in the hole but I suppose it is a possibility. Every time I have the cover off I think about making a strainer, but never seem to get around to it.
