Hi all. Question for anyone running non standard suspension, especially anyone racing a 180 triple. I'm about to take the plunge with new suspenders. Looking to run maxton front and rear. Rear shocks 10mm over standard length but with height adjusters. Forks at the moment are 800mm from bottom of axle to top of yoke. How far can I push them through the yokes before running into ground clearance/ front wheel hitting centre down pipe issues? What is anyone else running? Cheers.

Forgot to mention, running 18" Dymag at the front, same at the rear.

What wheel sizes ?  On std 18's with a vigorous rider, the 180 in my avatar is quite capable of wearing away both sides of the motor - without dropping the forks.
If I was doing it again, I'd do it like Red and use a frame with much higher engine position as a starting point.

The M1Rs in my 3C are 840mm from axle to top of the top yoke, rear units are 360mm but laid down a fair bit.  Whole bike is raised almost 60mm, but the alternator cover still shows signs of contact, despite wider rubber on GSXR rims.
