Suzuki sprocket bolts, GSXR wheel converts

Just a notice or warning.
I interchange cush drives and sprockets with fair regularity.
After a recent trackday I noticed movement in the 5 sprocket bolts. I went to tighten them and the 1st one snapped off.

I pulled all 5 bolts and can see what i believe are stress fractures, just below the head.
Wouldn't want the worst to happen on anyones bike so be mindful.

My view is running loose has fractured them.

The nuts are steel threaded aluminium. The studs appear genuine Suzuki.

Those are the OE Suzuki items.

I use bolts inserted form the outside with Nyloc nuts on the inside of the sprocket carrier. These nuts need one surface of the hex relieved slightly in order to fit the rotation restraint. Not only does it look a lot tidier, the bolts are shear-stressed at their shanks which offers a slightly greater safety margin and low-profile socket heads offer more clearance to the lower shock mount. I generally fit stainless steel fasteners, but stronger 12.9 grade stuff my be on the books in your case Rob!

Ive fitted a new set of bolts now Piet ( well shortened a set and recut the threads again) but I'll keep a closer eye on them. I like your idea and more cost-effective than buying these bolts made from Cheese
