Swingarm Greasing.

I am about to do this and a while back I read someone saying he backed off the 2 nuts that hold the swingarm to the frame before greasing, I have never done this. Is it worth doing to get better penetration to the bearings?
 
Longer answer: Yes indeed, that way you will know when all the old shitty grease has been replaced by the fresh stuff.
 
Thanks, guys, I do get a bit creeping out in a couple of spots without cracking the nuts but I will give it a go, sounds messy.
 
Can be a bit messy, not a problem though if you have lots of rags handy.
 
Wish I had waited for a reply, I have just washed the bike.Would have made more sense to grease first and wash second.
