Does anyone know if there has ever been a bosch or hella switch setup for the right hand side of the bars, with the outlet for the wiring coming out the left?  I seem to recall a photo of an early bike with this style switch mounted upside down on the left and unless the wiring went our the left as well it would have actually been correct for the right....  the two photos are both switches for the left side.
Thanks

AfaIk, the switches were always meant to be fitted on the left and the cable routed out to the right.  Was fitted that way to Laverda S and SF models.

Dip switch at the top, horn below.  There was even a version incorporating a headlight flasher, but this is extremely rare.  BMW, and probably others as well, often did away with the alloy clamp part, the switch was then mounted directly to the clutch lever perch.  The alloy clamp normally has a cut out that allows the (usually Magura) clutch lever to be mounted closer to the LH grip and to provide a positive locating stop.

Cannot imagine the switch being used on the right.  Would be hard to reach and therefore difficult/cumbersome to use because normally there would be a throttle body in the way...

The switch is originally from pre-indicator days, so the logical position would be on the left.

as I'm using the tommaselli perches and levers i need a switch for the starter and kill..
i've moved the ignition switch to the left side cover/airbox like the prototype so don't dare not have a kill switch on the bars...

Bought one for the Guzzi which has Tomaselli throttle from Stein Dinse http://www.stein-dinse.biz/Moto-Guzzi/Handlebar-Instruments/Indicator-and-starter-switches:::1_45_239.html
