Tek coils and CDI

Started looking at the ignition for my 3cl rebuild.
The wiring from my cdi bosch ignition module to the coils is completely shot, insulation crumbling, copper wires ok.
Can I wire the Tek KP02 and KP03 coils I have onto the module? If so the wires on the module have the remnents of a green insulated wire and a black wire. Should I connect these to the green and black spades on the Teks?
I know I should buy a Witt or Sasche but funds are limited.

Not if you want the ignition system to work.  The original 'black box' of the HKZ (aka CDI) Bosch system is to all intents and purposes a sealed unit and any repair unlikely to be successful.  I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to - if it is then I think you need to start saving for a suitable replacement.  Sorry!

From a technical perspective, the HKZ coils are quite different - for a start the voltage from the exciter (magneto) coil on the alternator is much higher than 12v.

have measured up to 35 volts from the exciter coil, should fry a set of TEK coils nicely

It's also AC voltage which might be less traumatic to the coils than DC voltage..

Why not go for the Ignitech programable ignition. You already have the right coils for it only costs about 150 euro.

Thanks for your replies Andy, Red and Rob .
Looks like its not a good idea!
I shall re furbish the original wiring to the coils to get things working and save for a Sasche ,Witt or ignitech.
