Testing a 3CL rectifier.

My charging system is not working, the warning light stays on and eventually the battery loses charge.
Is this because the rectifier has failed and if so how do I test it and what readings should I get when testing the resistance?

Does the warning light stay on and the battery eventually loose charge? If so, it sounds like you're charging system isn't working.
