The Aussie depository.....

Back in the 80s, I found the breakfast style in Greece to be, well, sweet FA as they say in Oz. On Mykonos, though, there was a place that did a proper English breakfast with beans, tomatoes, toast and Marmite, which I have to say I prefer to Vegemite by a smidgen. Spreads easier mainly. Walking home hungover early AM in Athens, trying to spot a taxi and looking for even a pastry was a lost cause. Poor me. I'm sure things are better now, though. Melbourne is one of my top places for food, fantastic.

Although pretty widely traveled, never been to Greece. But, in Germany the bread roll, smallgoods slices and choices of cheese with a coffee at a small standup table remains close to my heart. Seems to sop up the beer from the night before 😉

Breakfast in Malaysia is my favourite 🤩 the cross fusion of cultures makes for a great breakfast.

Scrambled eggs with a hint of flavour that I knew, but couldn’t pick, possibly because I wasn’t expecting garlic to be in scrambled eggs.

From hotels to street stalls, they do a rice side, like sushi without the leaf wrap but I only saw it at breakfast, with bits of egg and crispy bacon shards, crispy dried onion and fresh chilli …… into a dipping sauce, like …… 🤔 a benedict sauce (but not)
😢 Just superb….
