travel selector neutral switch

I just wanted to know what the travel of the selector drum hub to the neutral switch has in order to actuate it. (triples)

In my distant and very hazy memory I think the actuating part is the head of a rivet driven into the drum and it sits maybe 5mm proud of the body. I'm sure they what gots more recent experience can clarify.

It's like a huge staple, more like 3mm diameter from my recollection.  I could measure tonight if nobody else confirms before then.

Do you mean how far the neutral switch has to protrude into the case to be activated?
Last time I looked the selector drum had a nodule cast into it that corresponded with where neutral was in the box.
The switch has to be shimmed correctly so the switch just makes contact. Usually a thick aluminium washer is used.
Wasn't sure what you were asking from your original question.
