Triple head stamping

My spare head has 580 stamped on it, is that month and year?

Some workshops stamp the items they overhaul/repair.
In order not to be cheated with claiming.

The Motodd head was also stamped 580 Marty. Check for cracks in the corners on the cam chain tunnel.
Spent a fortune on it including ceramic coatings only for it to end up as an ornament!!
Replaced it with a 681, the factory added more material in the corners of the cam chain tunnel with a lovely radius.
