Venhill are a dreadful company. They fleeced for a lot of money to make some cables that failed within a very short time, but they told me that it was my fault because I was riding in the rain, therefore refund was out of the question. Clem rescued me when my clutch cable failed in the Black Forest and delivered me to Andy Wagner's place at Konstanz. Andy knew exactly what the problem was when he saw the Venhill logo on the offending cable. Hydrophilic cable liner with insufficient clearance, liner swell when wet thereby seizing the cable. Andy made me two replacement cables, and fitted one for me. His invoice was about half that of the robbing bastards at Venhill.

Clem had similar problems, as have plenty of others.

J J Cables in Warwickshire is an excellent alternative supplier.

They (JJ) are good and local to me - can’t remember if they do speedo cables ?

Actually I'll take the cable please. It's for my Cropredy Liberator 120 so it should fit. If it doesn't, may I send it back for a refund? Best to ask first. How much please? Jez.
