Which Loctite?

Am about to replace all the bits back onto my newly sprayed wheels on the RGA and instead of using tab washers for the brake disc bolts I remember Keith (Laverda Scozia fame) telling me that the bolts can be loctited in. Does anyone know which number or colour as there are all sorts so don't want to get the wrong one.

Thanks, Geoff

Geoff, you'd want one of the Blue line of "medium strength" threadlockers, designed for use with normal hand tools. There's lots of varieties, like high temperature, military spec, pre-applied, etc. 242 or 243 are probably the ones you'd want to use, depends on what your local supplier sells really.
There's also a stick form which can be very handy, doesn't leak or run, I use it for bigger bolts.

Hi Geoff,
I've been using Loctite anaerobic glues at work for over 20 years and I reckon its good stuff. This is what I use to secure the rotor bolts on my bike http://www.loctite.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_uke/hs.xsl/fullproduct-list-loctite-4995.htm?iname=Loctite+270+&countryCode=uke&BU=industrial&parentredDotUID=productfinder&redDotUID=1000000I8TX

It's strong stuff and I wouldn't recommend it on components  which are dismantled regularly but I reckon its just the job for things you want to fit and forget , such as a brake rotor.
