Zane 750 questions.

Thanks Paul and Marnix.

Great photo  ... and love Paul's story  :D.  How true the adage, "To win, first you have to finish".

Fond memories.
Enjoyed it a lot.
The Zane concern was supposed to cover my expenses.

I eventually got a 2C cam from them via Brettoni.

I was better off because they paid flights, hotel, car and looong lunches and looooong dinners! Something went wrong with rooms and luggage.. don?t recall exactly what though...

I seem to remember that we shared a room at the hotel.

I paid the train there and back and the taxi from Marseille to the Ricard.

Well worth a 2C.

Paul

That may well have been possible Paul, I truly don't remember!
What I do remember that some rooms were emptied in our absence and moved to another room. Instead of inquiring at the lobby, the crazy team manager called the police to report his luggage stolen.. :D

Crazy days I?m sure, but I did have in all seriousness a guy approach me last year at the Donnington round of the Endurance legends and say he thought he would be better off racing a Zane 750.....

I only used the room for the end of race night and part of the morning.
I remember Giuliano's driving on the small roads back to the hotel in the early morning.
Then the team had a very nice lunch at the hotel and you drove me back down to Marseille for my train.

Trip back up was in a couchette compartment, alone with a young lady.
I slept like a log.

Paul

Paul: Just to make it clear, that Bar Maid pushed you down Maine Street in the early morning to get that Larveda started so you could get to work and pay for her habit ;o)
