I'm putting together 2 of Zane 750 motors at present. 1 of from my old bike, the other from bits and pieces.
When I pulled my old bike apart I didn't label the cams "Ex" and "In".
I can't find anything in the oem manual or the spare parts book that tells me which is which, or how to set up the cam timing, except "align the marks with the top of the head". There is not even specs on the wear limits. (That I have found).
Cam A is marked A.010 and then 004. The gear has "A" marked on it. Journal overall is very close to 29.02mm
Cam S is marked S.009 and then 002. The gear has "S" marked on it, and the journal is very close to 28.82mm
Based on witness marks (ie score marks in the cams and journals, how sad) I have picked the "S" as the exhaust, but not sure.
Is anyone able to help with which is which, and how to set up the timing?
