Although many on here already have knowledge of Reds work, i just wanted to give my recommendations, i ordered a set of exhaust roses and half rings to fit my oversize 3 - 1 exhaust system from him and they duly arrived yesterday, nice billet machined roses ,half rings and manifold nuts....very impressed with the service and quality of the bits and well priced too considering they were shipped from OZ to UK....very highly recommended.(y)

True. The 1200 Redax built has over 10000km of the harshest northern Australia riding n a matter of months. The machining of their custom parts is awesome. We are in Paynes Find right now stopping overnight because the low beam failed. Not something Redax controls :D. Hard to explain what this bike has been through but it has constantly shone. Yes, great people to deal with.

Agreed, no matter what is said of Red himself, would never fully cover just how good he is and at many many skills, helpful and then some, in all manner and manners. Never far away and many the time leading the front, Maxene. They are a "job lot" with depth few can imagine, been in their company the odd time, yer he is true to that saying, bit odd...but odd was never so engaging...large ( very ) grin here...j

You've certainly been racking up the kilometres on that bike Diablo. You make me feel guilty. My Jota hasn't turned a wheel in ages. Too bloody cold and miserable here. I had to go do a 400km round trip to Launceston today to help sort a bloke's Ignitech ignition. It was raining so I wimped out and took the car.

due to a Worldwide shortage of Front wheel Speedo housings we have decided to machine them from billet alloy
following photos show the prototype being fitted
final versions will be either polished or vapour blasted to remove machining marks
we also made the walls slightly thicker to increase the strength and the housings will be supplied with the steel thrust washer installed

they will be available from Wolfgang, Italbrit, Laverda Scozia, Gert, JLO or direct from us at Redax Laverda

Great Red. Is that housings as in housings or the whole caboodle?

Paul

is that two pieces bonded into one, or from a solid lump?
either way, huge amount of work to get it right, I am left speechless
words cannot deliver the praise well enough.

Clem, it is machined from a solid block of alloy apart from the steel thrust washer
Far easier then trying to "bond" two pieces together
Here is a photo showing completion of the first op, in a 4th Axis VMC

Housing only, not making the rest, yet
As far as I am aware the worm and wheel drive gear assemblies are still available, if that is not the case then just a matter of writing a program and making them

as always, quantity to obtain a price break is the issue hence I ask various Laverda parts dealers if they wish to assist in absorbing the programming cost on the initial run, we are machining 50 units this run now
