DID Downpipe?
I’ve never seen chain as a down pipe before on a gutter- is this common ?Never get blocked I suppose
Sorry guys, it's all greek for me ...
pretty common on continental europe, in particular DenmarkI’ve never seen chain as a down pipe before on a gutter- is this common ?Never get blocked I suppose
I have seen it used quite a bit in the tropics too. In Norway they have heating wires in downpipes on a lot of building, prevents them being frozen solid inside.pretty common on continental europe, in particular Denmark
They're a lot better able to deal with torrential downpours than drainpipes are.I’ve never seen chain as a down pipe before on a gutter- is this common ?Never get blocked I suppose
wow never even thought of that.... my mates drive in Iceland is heated by volcanic heated water , looks bloody funny when he is in bare feet on it shovelling snow from the sides in winterI have seen it used quite a bit in the tropics too. In Norway they have heating wires in downpipes on a lot of building, prevents them being frozen solid inside.
That wouldn't help much here ....... it would just melt the snow and then it would freeze in the ground and make a bigger problem later. We can get frost down 6 feet or more.In Norway they have heating wires in downpipes on a lot of building, prevents them being frozen solid inside.
I don't understand the necessity of that. If the water freezes in the downpipe, then surely any water on the roof would be frozen too. So there wouldn't be any flow anyway unless the roof and gutters are also heated. In Norway they have heating wires in downpipes on a lot of building, prevents them being frozen solid inside.
Way too chicken and egg for me.I don't understand the necessity of that. If the water freezes in the downpipe, then surely any water on the roof would be frozen too. So there wouldn't be any flow anyway unless the roof and gutters are also heated.
