radial tires for Laverda

I just came across the Conti Classic Attack Radials. Time for new tires on the 1200

https://fortnine.ca/en/continental-conti-classic-attack-front-tire

Available in a rear 120/90 18.

So far only found the matching front in 90/90 18. Too skinny, or an acceptable compromise to get a pair of radial tires on the bike?

Nothing wrong with those.. front should turn in more easily too being skinnier/lighter..

No way I?d use a 90 on a big bike like the 1200.
I race on these with my SF2, a 130 (albeit on a 3" rim) rear and a 110 front on a WM3. Bike steers perfectly.
Do not get CR designated version of these for the road, they are race compound and the rear will wear square.
If you have to use less than "ideal" (whatever that is!) tyre size, always use a tyre that is larger for the rim, never one that is smaller for the rim. A 90 is too small for a WM3 as far as I am concerned.

The only other radial rear less than 150 are Bridgestone T31 and there a 140 x80. There in the sports touring category. I have this on both my bikes and like them a lot, rims are 3.00 so it's not strictly hunky dory but beggars cannot be choosers. What going on the front next are Bridgestone  BT 016 and they are 110 x 90 , there suppose to be a sports radial and get highly rated.
There are also in Bridgestone a BT92 rear in a 140 x 55
I loved their grip but didnt like the low profile of them.
There made to suit the first model GSXR 750 and have a slightly lower weight carrying carsuss capacity.

Bridgestone BT45 is a radial tyre, available in 18 inch size. I bought one last week.

Really, I thought they were a bias tyre. According to below, they are a Bias tyre. Trying to find up to date info on tyres isn't easy. They release a tyre and there is no info sometime for a year after.

Scroll down to tech specs and it states it's a radial construction

What we have here is a failer of consistency, my website says no, yours says yes. I have no idea whats correct but would like to very much.

I also thought the BT45 were bias.  I'd tend to trust the official company website in this case...

Paul,

I have put Continetal radials on the Jota 120. Fantastic tyres, they make the bike feel 20 years younger  :D
ClassicAttack at one end, RoadAttack at the other. This gives the right sizes.
I have a letter from Conti approving the fitment for Laverda 1000s.
At work now, will send you details when I get home.

regards,
Steve

Hi Paul,

Here you go. This is from the horse's mouth, i.e. Continental Technical Service in Germany.

Highly recommended.

regards,
Steve
