Phil mentioned his Saxon/Motodd triple in another thread which got me looking for an old magazine with a write up by Alan Cathcart on the Mk 5 version. I hope the scans are readable.

Cheers.

Good read. Thanks for posting! I've always liked the simplicity of that front end design. Would sit beautifully on a big Laverda twin  :D    Maybe in the next life ... having trouble enough finding time for the USDs!

Is Scrumpy hiding it ?

No Sid. But I tried to track it down. I picked up a Smiths sized revcounter with a Motodd logo on the face of it from Ebay. I had thought it may be for a twin rather than a triple. So I tried to make further enquiries with regard to the frame but unfortunately the seller from Devon (SW England) did not respond to my enquiries.

I believe that this pic could be a further evolution of the bike in Phil's pic. I forget where this pic came from now.

:o Years ahead of your time Phil .................. how the hell did you get the motor into and out of the frame?

I honestly can't remember Chris - i think the downtubes unbolted somehow or only bottom half of motor was fitted 1st -  the fuel tank needed  a pumped system to circulate the fuel from the lower section to the top to keep it above the float bowls a tad. The kit was made for Steve Elliot to have a serious pop at the "Battle of the twins" - as the series then moved to only northern race tracks ( Steve and Motodd were in  London in the  South of England) we couldn't justify the expenditure. As usual - wish i'd never sold it!!
