V5 finally arrived for my GT!

After owning the bloody thing for thirty years I’ve finally got it registered! Many thanks to Clem who very kindly supplied me with a dating certificate ( two if you include the one that C&E lost!) and also his advice on how to deal with C&E an DVLA.
Still took two goes but I have finally got my ‘69 “G“ plate.
On another issue entirely, the DVLA told me yesterday “ it can take up to 10 working days to process an email..”

you are welcome, very happy to that you got there in the end.

"Quite a few businesses who offer the 'Contact us' email never respond"
this can include Laverda dealers, but not UK ones.,

it does however include C&E who have had a strong letter from me asking the question "why does your system not accept dots, slashes and stars when this is a normal part of Laverda chassis numbers prior to the now required `17 digit number format" , this is the only format that their computer programme will acept, meaning that an actual Laverda chassis number (let is say LAV.750GTL*17720* would not be accepted, nor would LAV.1000/3CL*3456* when applying for a NOVA. And please dont tell me that (fe) 2608 is OK on its own, because its not, that could be a 750, a 1000, or a 1200, and later an RGS

not the log book, the NOVA

DVLA usually (not always) reject if the V55C chassis numbers do not match the NOVA numbers, difficukt when NOVA wont acceot stars, dots or slashes.
