Cool Videos

Yeah. That bit had me wondering if the plastic wrap was actually an intentional component of the mix, or whether it's just a tolerable impurity. Perhaps on better quality tyres, they actually unwrap the raw materials first.

Two clues in this screen capture. One is ...... it is a snowmobile. Two ....... is in Winnipeg.

I dunno if it's a snowmobile (too blurry), but it's not Winnipeg.

Here's the bit of road in google street view. The camera angle is different, indicating that the snowmobile footage was taken from several metres above the ground. Presumably with a drone camera.

Bloody good bit of detective work, Cam!! And yes, it is a snowmobile - but a bear is riding it!

And isn't the 'splash' after it lands out of pic actually snow, thrown off the tracks spinning like crazy when it hits the ground?

damn, havent heard the Johnny's in a long time... best memory of them was bonnet surfing with a 64 Falcon XP coupe in the 90's . It was my girlfriends brothers car, hot rodded out, we took turns surfing on an upside down bonnet being towed around the back paddock with Injun Joe blaring out the windows, by the Johnny's , bloody good old school guitar band

Nothing to do with motorcycles but everything to do with life and motorcycles. Dropping down a 2 or 3 metre wave and pulling a nice bottom turn is like coming out of corner cranked right over and belting it ......Is pure joy.
I started surfing at age 9 in 1960 and have basically been doing it and motorbikes ever since ,even had the heart attack 2010 while surfing and it did change my attitude to life, and the moral is .Savour every moment even if it is sitting on your arse doing nothing or at at the dinner table with your family maybe out fanging on your Lav cause none of us is getting any younger.

Too true, Levo. If I'd grown up near the ocean with waves I'm pretty sure I would have been a surfing tragic. Instead it was inner city Melbourne, mini bikes and bicycles and then the obvious progression to motos - it's intergenerational with us as well.

Yep sure is pb2, but in my day it was not mini bikes but a beeza bantum with no throttle just the cable wrapped around your thumb and be very careful when turning left .kept you on your toes it did.

Hang Ten Levo

I'm with you, Levo. When I say mini-bikes, I mean weirdo things we made ourselves from motor mower engines (Villiers or Victa), bicycle frames or waterpipe 'customs', scooter inflatable front wheels, tiny rear accessory rears ... braking was via heel pushing on the open flywheel!! Some lucky dudes had Bantams. My mate had a Vespa 125 - that was very cool! I remember hearing about the army disposals ex-WW2 parachuter mini-bikes but never saw one.

Oh yea thems was the days fanging through the bush where people now live .Going down to the beach dragging my 10ft balsa log from under my primary school that was a 100 metres from the waves. Building a fire on the beach to warm up in the winter no wet suits then. Stubbing your toes on your pushy on the way home. In those days we were too young to know what the word savor means we just lived it to the full. Fuck I miss those innocent times. Having said that I'm still enjoying the shit out of what's left .

Hang Ten

I have been participating in a thread on another bike site where the cardigan wearers are up in arms about 8 MX bikes seized by the cops in a Vic state forest, seems any kind of Motorcycle fun even in the middle of nowhere is the devil's work. More Hoon Hysteria.

Thanks for putting that up. Raglan was my home break. Last time I was back in NZ , i headed straight there and spent 3 days surfing, I brought some of my old boards back up here , including my Atlas Woody to teach the kids on. Brings back a different pace of life.
