Hi all, I am looking for a set of the chromed front mudguard stays for a LAVERDA 750SF 1971/1972. I know they tend to brake and one my bike they are already broken. I hope someone can help me! Ciao, Gert

The stay on my 76 Jota is similar (but not identical) and it's broken a couple of times next to the flange that bolts to the fork leg. On both occasions I welded it up with a little extra reinforcing in that location. Rather than getting it re-chromed. I just painted it black so I wouldn't be ruining new chrome if it broke again. Last break was about 6 years ago, but it will probably break again a week after I get it chromed. So it's still black.

... the problem with the 1971/72 mudguard stays is that the are mounted solid not in rubber. Therefore the very thin tabs tend to break due to vibrations. I'll try to mount the stays with rubber discs under the tabs. Anybody tried that already? Ciao, Gert

The factory did it with their early racers. Not subtle but effective.
