Face book account hacked!

There is someone who knows Italian bikes scamming all over FB. I answered an ad for an $8000 Laverda SF. The guy claimed to be in New Hampshire and could easily arrange shipping to my Montana address (I live in British Columbia, but import issues). He knew Laverdas and Ducatis.

I am sure he claimed New Hampshire because it's impossible to reach from BC. However, by coincidence my daughter lives one hour from the town he claimed. He went silent when I asked if she could see the bike.

I checked his fb profile ("Adrian Davis") and his personal photos are stolen pics of Ian F. I reverse -searched and the $8000 SF he'd supposedly owned for 20 years was listed at auction last August with the exact same photos and sold for $12,000.

So it's one of us, basically. An Italian-bike guy scamming the rest of us. Someone in our community probably knows him.

These scammers are imaginative if nothing else....
I got an email of a redirected SMS from an unknown phone number stating....
" Hi Chuck, I rode the Jota today without the air filter and found it was noticeably better. You mentioned fitting bellmouths to yours. How did that go? "
Point is--- I didn't mention fitting bellmouths to anyone. I thought it might have come from eBay because I searched for a similar item.
Needless to say I didn't respond.
( Coincidently, it happened at the same time this forum was hit with a 'denial of service' attack. Hmm, related??)
