There's a lovely looking Corsa on eBay for £10500 low mileage etc strange to me how this one of the very best Laverdas cannot command a much higher price even some Mirages are near that now Jota's out of sight is it because the rgs is generally unloved

I think its because in genrral motor cyling clrcles the Cprsa is unknown, and even in Laverda circles it is not widely known and to many completely unknown, the Corsa is a much better bike than a 180 Jota, especially in terms of aerodynamics, and the engine compnents are as close to TTF1 as you are evr going to get, again most do not know what a TTF1 is.

In short a very rare Laverda built from absolutely the very best components, unlike the SFC 1000, which had the same mechanicals, Swing arm excepted but always looked and performed like it had an add on body kit which is what it was.

Never fancied the look of the RGS, the SFC looks so much lighter and more sportive. I appreciate the RGS though as it had so many great inventions on it and for touring, it might even be the better bike over the SFC. Still, I prefer the 1000 SFC's look.

Got a 180 Jota and an RGS and many years ago owned a lovely SFC1000.
Have to say.......... I love them all for different reasons.
Wish I never sold that lovely SFC 🥺

Hi again:
I use to own:
2 LAVERDA SFC 1000
1 Corsa.
1 JOTA.
SFC 750 R.
3C 1975.
JOTA 1979
Laverda 1972 Endurance racer
Laverda Spaceframe.
Laverda 1974 Endurance racer : the Best Bike 🧐👍👍👍
Laverda CND 850

Well there are 2 Mirage TS on car and classic both slightly more than the Corsa with more miles etc how can the slowest triple ever made be anywhere near a Corsa in value it just doesn't make sense apart from ignorance of what a Corsa is.
My favourite would be a Slater Formula 120 but it would have to have that lovely Harris 3 into one

You need a RGS to decide, RGS is the best tourer, I have two SFC 1000, one RGS and had a 3C 180 deg race bike, used it with a SFC engine and a 1166 180 high comp engine, which was impressive at low revs up to 6000+. But for touring the RGS is the most comfortable.
SFC look fine but the fork is a nightmare, changed to BMW K 1100 which works fine.

Hi Andre, agree, the M1R in standard trim isn't the best. I managed to make it work somewhat OK before I changed to HH-Racing internals all along. Now it works as it should and is adjustable to my needs (which I did not have to adjust, as the pre-setting of HH-Racing were spot on for me!). That said, the 38mm Marzocchi on the Corsa/RGS is I think the same as on the 1981 Jota, and I never was happy with it, too, until I modified it (fork brace, different oil, different springs, pre-loaded). Now it plays VERY well with the rear suspension.

The formula 120 looks like it has wheels knicked of a 350 TZ Yamaha (sorry Mo) and the body work must have been made by dropping a very resin wet 8x4 thick sheet of fibreglass from about 30 feet and then letting it set.

Tripple-wise the 180 (3C, Jota or whatever) is the best looking IMHO. Got a 750 in bits, if I put it together the right way it might look even nicer?

There you go...... my 50th post 📬🤖

Not wishing to contradict others’ opinions, as we are all entitled to our own, but having owned, ridden/raced (road and track) just about every Laverda triple going IMHO, and without doubt, the best factory built production triple is the Corsa. I don’t necessarily dispute that other models can be fettled/modified to perhaps make them a better bike than the Corsa, but in terms of what left the factory gate you can’t beat it.
I also like the Slater Formula Jota 120, even if others don’t. 😛
