Two baller bikes-The MV needs no introduction & if the Three Cross had their performance upgrades it's a diamond in the rough!

Thank you for posting!!!

Coincidentally(?) the latest Ian Falloon retrospective email featuring the MV 750 GT has just landed in my inbox. Only 50 GT's built and only cosmetic differences to the 750S; which many were subsequently converted to. Rare as hens teeth!

There are two more MV 750 GT's in carandclassic, one in Spain for €200,000 and one in the UK which has had its frame replaced at some time for £85000.

Whilst Paul, technically, is correct Stu I think someone would be brave to pay more than £2k for it as it looks like it needs quite a bit doing to it by the look of things.
You only have to look at how much a recently advertised, and renovated RGS, went for to realise, after spending a packet, it ain’t going to be worth a lot even if it looks shiny and new.

When you look at the Charterhouse website it seems that the bikes were found in a double garage in Southampton. I might go to the auction just for fun. I can see something I want.

Renovating a bike, particularly a Laverda triple costs a packet.
You needn't worry about what it might be worth afterwards, the only thing to consider is if you're going to loose a lot of money or an enormous amount of money.

If all you think about with regards your passion is the money aspect you are never going to be happy. Some people like go to the casino for the fun of it (not me), and if an evening costs them the bit of cash they decided to use, it was a fun night that cost them that, and if they get a bit more they are happy as well. Buying a Laverda in run down shape and spending your time, physical and mental effort, and money making it into something that you are proud to say "I did that", is a bit the same. I have mates who pan for gold, and they just love it, find a speck or not. People here stand and fish the fjord in fucking winter and don't give a fuck if they catch anything. If you don't like it don´t do it, but don't tell people they are "wasting their money" because they don't make a profit.

It's not a matter of telling people you're wasting your money but a matter of you're not going to make any and if you have resale in mind, you're going to be losing a little or a lot. A lot don't seem to understand those basics.
Certainly not a waste if it's your passion.
