I am sure everyone will know that there is going to be a massive Moto Laverda 75th Anniversary Event in the UK next August.....

This is following the large event this year when 86 Laverdas attended, so I decided it was a great idea to plan a massive event
for next year..... Details Below....

Sunday August 4th arrival between 10.30am and latest 12.00pm until at least 4.30pm and later....
The New Inn
Main Street
Willersey
Broadway
WR12 7PJ

Currently there are 245 Laverdas registered to attend the event which is FREE entry.......

BUT.... to attend YOU MUST BE REGISTERED, and there will be No "TURN UP ON THE DAY" as we have to plan the event.
If you Do NOT Register, You Will NOT be allowed into the event.
We have to Register all those attending for both Safety Reasons and so the Landlady can accomodate for food and drinks.

LAVERDAS ONLY will be allowed into the car park.

ALL other bikes and cars will be in the street outside the pub.
The Village Green at the Front of the Pub will Accomodate all the NON Laverda Motorcycles.

There will be well known dealers there like Phil Todd, Alan Bell, Richard Slater, Gareth Jones, Roger Winterburn, Ged from GCS, Made in Italy MC's, Rupes Rewires, Lankies Refurb Powder Coatings and more....
Many old and current race bikes from Andy Jessopp, Andy Bartlett, Colin Lawther, Rob Lawton, Dave Fitzpatrick, Mike Annesley, Roger Winterburn,, Ben Shaughnessy
and more.....and some great ex-racers including hopefully Peter PK Davies again, and Roger Winterburn, Pete Lovell and more.....

The event will be supported by ILOC who will also be there in attendance and selling all regalia etc....

This will easily be the biggest Laverda Event Ever in the UK, and will not be repeated again. EVERYONE is invited, If you own a Laverda and wish to join us please.......
Contact me and register, all I need is your name and Laverda model details.. You can post on here, or PM me or email me on coxeng@gmx.com

We also have many riders now coming from several countries who are also very welcome..!!!

I look forward to any replies or Questions.......Happy New Year, Regards, Malcolm Cox,
Cox Engineering Laverda (1978)

Whatever you should like to call it....... The number is now 229 confirmed to Attend.

There has Never been a UK Event like this, and Never will be again..!!!

I have many plans in place and are working on the event daily, I promise that it will be a
memorable day, and will be recorded properly as I have 2 professional photographers lined
up to record the day. One to do a 1 hour plus video including drone footage and 1 to do
all the photography stills....
I will make sure all the photographs and the video will be available to everyone free of charge
and for download, and the video will be on Youtube as well.
It is important for the Laverda Marque, and all of us involved or not, that the event, the owners, former
and current dealers, race bikes and riders, and former top riders are all documented in detail so we all
have a record for the future......

As the event organiser I will do my very best to make this huge event a massive success.....

I must also mention, there will be a team of owners who have been nominated to help on the day
with many arrangements like unloading bikes from vans & trailors, erecting gazebos, and the huge
process of managing the car park and parking of the 200+ bikes to ride into the pub car park between
10.30am and 12.00 Midday....
Adam Sherriff will be the Car Park Manager in charge of this big process, and he will make sure this
works like clockwork.....

I can only encourage anyone who is able to get their Laverda roadworthy to register now with me
and to jon us on Sunday August 4th.!!!!

Regards
Malcolm Cox

Hi the 350 motor will be going to motrac for building in the near future hope to get the frame painted next week sometime can't wait so excited about this event.

Definitely not to be missed and added to the 2024 events diary.

We've booked local accommodation for the 3rd/4th August and the event will be widely publicised across Buell/EBR and Moto Guzzi enthusiast sites. We've designed this logo for use on event publicity.

Hi Chris,

I need to speak to you on the telephone, can you PM me your number please.
regards
Malcolm Coc

Happy to oblige. My intentions were good. Malcolm explained his concerns about the numbers that might attend.

FYI, general publicity for this event is already out there. I read about the event in the latest (March) issue of Classic Bike. See scan of page 13. Following a search of the internet this topic on the Laverda forum came up as the first hit. I should imagine many other Italian motorcycle enthusiasts have done the same. We booked our accommodation in Broadway yesterday morning.

Bizarre. It's a monthly club lunchtime meeting at a pub in a Cotswold village. If you don't turn up on a Laverda then you won't be able to park there 😂
As has already been made very clear in the first post in this thread, registration with Malcolm Cox is required.

To clarify, all persons, whether Laverda owner or not, must register with Malcolm to walk into the event?

In the absence of it being a ticket only event, will there be a someone on duty checking off names?

Chris non Laverdas will park on the green or the road opposite the pub , We will supply stand blocks who need them - it’s going to be busy , parking the number of Laverdas to get everybody in will be a challenge for us parking people there’s 8 of us working from the entrance backwards . we need the numbers as the pub is doing the catering - we need to know how many stand blocks as well - you will be welcome !

As Sir Sid has alluded, my understanding (if I'm wrong, I'm sure MC will correct) is that you'll be very welcome regardless of what you ride or drive to the event - HOWEVER - only Laverdas will be parked inside the pub car parking area (and they must have registered with MC), all other vehicles will park outside. Simples (y)

Yes but we still need to know whose coming Laverda or not 😀

Gents, many thanks for the clarification. I did understand about the Laverda only parking area. We'll be there early on the day because we're staying so close to the venue. If you would like any help with the event, in whatever capacity, we would like to volunteer.

We will register with Malcolm as walk-in attendees, and put us down for two stand blocks for our Guzzis.
