Out and About on your Laverda. No bull,Just photos

A bit of bull:
Out for what will, probably, be the last ride of 2024, and what a year it's been.
The greyest, wettest year that I can remember in the nearly 49 years that I've owned my Laverda. Despite that, it was dry for the ILOC AGM in April, the 75th Anniversary Bash in Breganze in July and, in August, for the 230+ Laverda bash at Willersey.
Next year is going to be celebrated as the Jota's 50th Anniversary, with more events planned.
It was great to meet a bunch of Forum Members, this year, and I look forward to meeting more, in the future.
Have a great Laverda New Year!

Impressive to see you still out and about on the bike Hamish fair play to you, and 49 years is certainly a long time love affair to cherish.
Happy New Year to you too and look forward to catching up with you on the other side.

Sounds interesting, like plans are afoot?!?!?

Well, I ain't got much Tomasino, but what I have is at your disposal. Apart from Jane, I will hide her away. I can't have her subjected to your chivalrous and impressive Aussie charm - I would quite like to keep hold of her :)

We can offer you the best of British hospitality... a damp bed with heavy woolen blankets, warm brown beer with 'things' floating on the top, leaky windows with ice on the inside, an outside toilet and, most certainly, no soap.

Today.
Up start on a new Spaceframe ( Number 3 )

Young Haggis, with an offer like that I’m concerned that if I do come over that there won’t be any room for me as your door will be knocked down by all the early arriving Aussies😂. I must admit the thought of that damp bed in the summer heatwaves that you guys get is very appealing 😂. Best you hide the wife away as my charm amongst the fairer sex is well known 😂😂.

Anyway , back to topic....

2025 will bring me the joys of finding the cause of, and fixing, a rapidly decreasing valve clearane on my Jota and fixing a mysterious gear change issue on my SF. Hopefully the former is simply going too lean and thus overheating a valve head, with the latter being just the culmination of correctable wear and tear.

2025 is supposed to be the year I decide what I’m doing with motorcycling. Over the last fifteen years the Jota has done just under 10,000 miles. Yesterday I took it for a decent ride, 688 km according to Google. A mixture of alpine passes, river valleys, baking hot barren rocky old gold mining high country. Surprisingly, not enough tourist traffic to be too annoying. Upshot is that this was enough for one day at my current fitness level; now I have to clean the bike; can’t wait for the next ride! Looking like I’m stuck with it for a while longer.

Just cold and damp here, we have managed to avoid the snow so far, but it looks like quite a bit was dumped on anything over 500 feet ASL. - not that I can really see it as the cloud base is about 500 foot too!
