According to Wolfgang 3 sf3s were imported into the states, I don't know if thats true but he knows more than me.

And Tim Parker in the Green Book attributes better road holding of the SF2 to the flex of the wire wheels.
Sprocket carrier bearings last a lot longer as well.

Until you need to stop in a panic (lots of people even upgrade the 08 Brembos). Unless Piet has refurbed all the myriad bits. But they do look great, on a display.

If you need to stop in a panic and want the best stopping power available, you won't be riding a Laverda. You don't ride old bikes without taking old risks.
I hit a car that turned in front of me a few years back with my SF2. I would have stopped with my Aprilia which I now use nearly every time I go into town.

I loved the performance of my Husky 420 Automatic, insanely fast acceleration, so I fitted a Recluse Clutch to my more modern Husky, not fully Aito but close as I could get. BTW, I am not a fan of the rear Ducktails on all Laverdas after what 1977, but that's just my opinion.
