new exhaust Laverda 750SF 1972

hello, just fitted after 47yrs an original exhaust instead of the two in one exhaust. But the balance pipe is leaking quite a bit, does this close by itself or must I put some special gasket/
Yes, it leaks.
It's also likely to leak where the pipes go into the "silencers".

None of my balance pipes leak! I have 38mm headers with the crossover balance pipe up front, and 40mm headers with the same setup.
You could use some copper paste at the joints where the pipe slides into the headers to stop the leak, that is what I use between headers and mufflers to aid assembly and removal.
Is the exhaust old stock or something you bought from one of the dealers?

My original S pipes leaked.
They've since been replaced by a set from Samuele Brezzi, that leak less, but still a bit.
