1000 SFC gastank overflow tube routing

Gents,

after having parked the 1000 SFC the middle header pipe had some liquid on it at the top and after investigating I saw the melted end of the overflow tube of the gastank stuck between the bobines... fortunately before I had to place this post in the black museum thread..

Hence, my question what is the best routing for this tube?

There were some that went through the headstock-nut, which I am not a fan of (might wash the grease out of the lower steering bearing...).

On mine, it was mounted from the left filler cap to the left side of the fairing, zip-tide to the black fairing support and moved behind the instrument-cluster with a gas-filter in between. I think that is a good routing.
 
Oh, that was complicated. On mine and any other SFC1000 I've ever seen, all used, not new, they were a short tube from the cap, up in an arch 180° (Ups, I wrote that...) and down along the headstock in front of the most forward ignition coil. That's all. Never say any degradation of paint, corrosion or anything else. No filter.
After some 28 years, mine became brittle and very stiff, so off it went and a new one on, same route, same length.

Right hand fuel cap, up and over and down between tank and headstock, zip tie down along right hand frame rail, exits just below level of exhaust. Prefer overflow not to go onto hot stuff.
