1000 SFC panel lights fix

The 1000 SFC indicator lamp on the panel wasn't working, turned out to be a duff bulb.
So I extracted the orange arrow lens, and found the bulbs were soldered into the holders.
I unsoldered the tiny bulb, and soldered one from an RGS panel in it's place.
Despite being a little different in shape to the original, it works OK :)

Anyone out there know where to get original bulbs?

Not sure where you're based Stephen, but here in NZ I went to the local REPCO store and they had them in packets of........... (don't know how many, it was a long time ago).
The bulb did seem to be brighter than the original though.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Keith.

I think that the manufacturer of the lamp means that you change the whole lamp system (which has connectors), not the soldered lamp. The price is not much. Here those are available on car accessory stores. Of course we would like to change only the bulb, because the new lamp bodies look like a littlebit different. I recommend to go to an electronic component shop and buy a 12V 1,2W bulb that fits. Some shops for car accessories may also have the bulbs. Take the old one for size reference with you.

Here's what I mean:

MotoJouni,

Yes, I suspect you are meant to buy the whole bulb & holder. But it was a Sunday, and I didn't have a spare...
Keith,
I will send my brother to look for them in Auckland, bugger lives there

Regards,
Steve
